Our Growth...
Arts to Grow launched its first three programs in September 2005. Since that time, our portfolio of program partners has grown to 14 with programs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Hoboken and Newark, N.J.

After our first year of programs we received enthusiastic feedback from kids, parents and our after-school partners. An Elysian Charter School parent said, "My daughter comes home excited about creating and seems more outgoing and willing to learn."

Mott Hall II Middle School assistant principal Rebecca Fagin has seen first-hand what an Arts to Grow dance program can do. "What is so amazing is to see these adolescents come out of their shell and feel good about themselves physically," she said. " To see these students express themselves with confidence and pride [during their middle school years] is no simple feat." As any educator can tell you, instilling confidence in our youth can have long-lasting effects.
