Dear Friends of Arts to Grow:
After 12 years of working with kids in communities throughout the New York metro area, we are ceasing operations as of June 30, 2017. This decision has been over two years in the making and we have maintained programming on a continuous basis during this time.
In September 2005 Arts to Grow launched our first three pilot programs to bring quality arts learning opportunities to underserved youth. Over the course of twelve years we have worked with more than 3,000 kids ages 5-17 in over 20 neighborhoods throughout the New York City metro area. Our model was built on partnering with existing after school programs to offer professional arts instruction at no cost to working families. We could not have accomplished this without help from our countless donors, volunteers, board members, teaching artists, and other supporters along the way.
While we are sad to say goodbye, we are exiting on a high note knowing that we have continued to deliver high-quality programs, matching the best fit and most qualified teaching artists with each program partner and supporting both the teaching artist and the partnering organization along the way. We’ve taken pride in doing this work right up to the end. We thank you for your help in making it happen.
Together we have made a difference in the lives of over 3,000 children who through our work had opportunities to learn and grow through the arts. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.
