Arts to Grow internships are available for undergraduate or graduate credit with permission from your institution. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Arts to Grow interns have the opportunity to learn about all facets of working in a non-profit arts organization, with a focus on the following areas: revising marketing materials, researching and organizing fundraising information, managing our fundraising database, editing materials for website and social media, assisting with cultivation events, and other tasks as appropriate.
Interns at Arts to Grow work closely with ATG staff in our home office in New Jersey; a minimum of 10-15 hours per week for one semester, scheduling is flexible. The ATG office is located 25 minutes from mid-town Manhattan and is walking distance from the Grove Street PATH station in Jersey City. Course credit for undergraduate and graduate study can be arranged. Previous interns with ATG have come from New York University’s Graduate School of Arts Administration, Drexel University’s Graduate Program in Arts Administration, Montclair State University, Seton Hall University and others.
TO APPLY FOR AN INTERNSHIP: Send a resume and cover letter via email to Caitlin Nascher at email@example.com. Please indicate in your cover letter why you are interested in this internship and what specific skills and interests make you an asset to our organization.
“As an intern for Arts to Grow, I had the opportunity to learn in-depth how a non-profit organization is built from the ground up. It was amazing to see how much Mallory and the Arts to Grow team had accomplished in just five years. There were always new and exciting projects to work on, and it was great to feel like I was contributing to the lives of the students at our partner schools. In a time when arts education does not always receive the funding it deserves, Arts to Grow is filling that gap and providing meaningful programs to schools in need. Working for Arts to Grow was such an incredible experience!”

“As an aspiring arts administration professional, Arts to Grow’s Internship Program provided me with essential practical experience that complemented my graduate coursework. Interning with a small arts organization enabled me to work closely in all aspects of operation. From my first day, I was able to make timely and meaningful contributions – from drafting e-newsletters and expanding web content to planning special events. Thank you, Arts to Grow, for providing me with this well-rounded learning and training opportunity.”
